Growing Together: Our Cooperative Model
At Forest of Life Farm, we grow more than food—we grow connection, resilience, and shared purpose. Our cooperative model is rooted in mutual aid, shared resources, and democratic decision-making.
What Is a Farming Cooperative?
A farming cooperative is a community of growers who pool tools, knowledge, and infrastructure to share costs, reduce risks, and support one another.
How It Works at Forest of Life Farm:
-
Shared Infrastructure: Members access tools, greenhouse space, compost, and water systems.
-
Collective Buying & Selling: We source supplies together and coordinate markets and CSA sales.
-
Skill-Sharing: Seasonal workshops on topics like mushroom cultivation, soil building, and seed saving.
-
Community Governance: Every member has a voice. We make decisions together, with transparency.
-
Mutual Support: From starting a garden to scaling up a field, no one farms alone.

Why It Matters
Cooperative farming makes land and food systems more accessible, just, and regenerative. It supports new farmers, strengthens local food networks, and restores ecosystems—together.
